BEACHES FOR EVERY MOMENT OF RELAXATION

Beaches

Palaia Epidaurus is known for its natural coastline where mountains meet the sea. Here you won’t find crowded resort beaches, but places with character — from quiet, sheltered coves to more lively spots ideal for swimming and water activities.

Vagonia

A peaceful and authentic beach close to the center of Palaia Epidaurus. Easily reached on foot, it combines crystal-clear waters, light vegetation, and an unspoiled natural landscape. It is ideal for those who prefer to avoid crowds and enjoy a more relaxed, local atmosphere. From here, small trails also lead to more secluded beaches, such as Kalamaki.

Yialasi

The most popular beach in the area, with white pebbles, sand, and clear blue waters. Ideal for families and younger visitors, it is organized with seaside tavernas and beach bars.

Polemarcha

A small paradise with two successive coves, surrounded by lush pine forest and turquoise waters. Access is possible via a dirt road or by boat.

Aliotou

Located near the small tourist harbor of Nea Epidaurus, this beach offers deep, crystal-clear waters and traditional seaside tavernas. Quiet and authentic.

Kalamaki

Kalamaki is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in the Epidaurus area. Surrounded by greenery, with calm, crystal-clear waters and natural shade from pine trees, it creates an almost exotic landscape. Access is only on foot via a small path starting from Vagonia, which helps preserve its peaceful atmosphere, especially outside the busy August period.

Each beach has its own character — some perfect for families, others ideal for travelers seeking tranquility and natural beauty. In every case, the sea is clean, calm, and full of small surprises waiting to be discovered.
